  	Jerry Muncie, 54, formerly of Garrard county, was killed in an accident when the truck in which he was a passenger was struck by a train. The accident occured Thursday morn-ing, Oct. 3, at 3:42 A.M., in Indian-apolis, where Mr. Muncie had been a resident for several years. Mr. Muncie and his companion, Verle McCalment, had been marketing tomatoes on the South Side Market of Indianapolis, and were returning home at the time a fast Chicago meat train hit the truck. Jerry Muncie was born in Tennessee and later married Sarah Brock, of Rockcastle county. To this union was born five daughters and one son; Cresey Jackson, Resey Hicks, Lula Ford, Margare Muncie, Allie B. Brock and Homer Muncie, all of Indianapolis. His wife Sarah, died in 1919 and he was remarried in 1935 to Ethel Brock. Brides his wife and children he leaves two sisters, Maggie Renfro of Indianapolis and Sally Adams of Pekin, Ill., and one brother, Jim Muncie and one half-brother, Harrison Thomas, both of Indianapolis. He was buried in the Brock cemetery in Rockcastle county Saturday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Sabbath conducted the services.
